About SSA Architecture and Ken Small's architectural experience, including what clients say about working with the firm.
SSA Architecture (Small Studio Associates, LLC) is a Las Vegas architecture firm led by principal architect Ken Small. We design commercial buildings, offices, medical facilities, restaurants, schools, and tenant improvements across Southern Nevada.
Ken is the principal in charge of design and sets the direction for every project. He is licensed in Nevada, Texas, and Arizona, holds an NCARB certificate, and has over 30 years of experience. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Construction Specifications Institute, a Construction Documents Technologist, a LEED Accredited Professional, and an ICC-certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner. When a project calls for it, we bring in engineers and other consultants we've worked with for years, so you have one point of contact.
Our approach is client-driven: rather than a signature style, each project is designed around the client's needs, taste, and budget. That's why our buildings don't all look alike, and why clients come back for their next project.

What clients say
“On two industrial complexes that my company developed we had two projects to award architectural contracts. So I gave one to Ken and one to a competitor. The competitor’s job ran $200,000 in extras discovered during the job. The job that Ken drew finished with nearly no extras at all. I can sure tell the difference in having a good clear set of plans like he draws.”
“I asked Ken to come over and look at what I thought was major work. He showed me how to move my furniture around and paint to get what I was looking for. What started out in my mind as major cost and inconvenience ended up costing me an hour of Ken’s time and $500 for the painter. Ken’s experience saved me lots!”
“Ken has been performing architectural work on tenant improvements for me for years. He gets the work done with quality drawings and affordable prices.”
